About me

I’m a graduate of full-time studies in English Philology at the University of Wrocław, where I obtained teaching qualifications. From 2008 to 2011, I was a student of Master Studies in Finance at the Wrocław University of Economics, graduating with distinction. My area of research was monetary policy, and my master’s thesis was awarded in the competition of the President of the National Bank of Poland. In 2011, I began doctoral studies, which I completed with a grade point average 5.0, receiving scholarships for academic results throughout my studies. During this period, I obtained, among others, an award from the National Bank of Poland in the competition for a scientific article and scholarship in connection with the International Risk Management Conference: From Idiosyncratic to Systemic Risk.

During the studies mentioned above, I expanded my scientific competencies at such centers as the Stonebrook University of New York, London School of Economics and Political Science – University of London, Center de Recerca en Economia Internacional – Universitat Pompeu Fabra or National Bank of Poland, each time dealing with issues from the borderline of finance and macroeconomics and their modeling. During my postgraduate studies at the State University of Applied Information Technologies, I gained education in programming and qualified as a specialist translator.

As a Ph.D. student and Assistant Professor at the Department of Financial Investments and Risk Management, I deal with issues related to systemic risk modeling. During my studies, I led four research projects as part of an individual grant for young scientists. I carried out research tasks in my doctoral thesis and 10 publications published in 2012-2019. As a member of the research team and beneficiary of the Team Grant of the National Bank of Poland, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hab. Krzysztof Jajuga and other members of the Department, I analyzed measures of the stability of the Polish financial system. Now, I am the project leader of the Preludium 15 Grant entitled Application of an Original Method of Analyzing and Measuring Systemic Risk for Developing European Countries.

At Wrocław University of Economics, I am an academic teacher lecturing in Polish and English on finance, risk management, investment portfolio management, and monetary policy. I also worked in the university careers office and coordinated international accreditations, such as CIMA and EPAS.
